St. Benedict’s story has its origin from the Weobong Family – a family of vision: a vision of a Modern Educational Institute of a holistic Education of excellence in which the development of the whole human being of body, soul and mind would be the focal point.

The family therefore accepted the challenge that an educational institution be established immediately after the retirement of Mr. and Mrs. Weobong.
